We created “Twin Star Consulting Company” as a means to better serve our Customers, and it is a natural expression of our passions and talents. Our goal was, and remains, to “Illuminate Paths” for our Customers, and aid them in achieving their “Realized Visions.”
We look at our relationship with our Customers as that of a coach to a rising star. We strive to become an extension of our Client’s management, implementation and educational teams, facilitating the successful attainment of their corporate and individual objectives. Most of the organizations we consult with have incredible talent within them, yearning to unleash their potential and achieve positive results, they just need the opportunity and support. We’ve also found that these two areas; Opportunity and Support, reside inextricably within each organization’s culture, and that the people within the organization cannot truly improve unless the culture also changes. In our experience, we’ve found this culture is comprised of six inter-related facets, all playing a major role in the organization’s success or failure.
- What is the organization’s vision and mission, and is it strategy-driven or opportunity-driven?
- How is the organization structured? Are the roles, responsibilities and authority in alignment with accomplishing the strategy?
- Are the methods and processes used to create, deliver and support the organization’s products and services conducive to helping the organization achieve success?
- Are the various tools (accounting, estimating, time-keeping, project management) supportive of the processes and methods and organizational strategy?
- Is the training and development of the organization’s people in alignment with the strategy, structure, methods, processes, tools and reward structure?
- What behaviors are being fostered and rewarded; and which are being condoned and allowed to sabotage the organization?
Oftentimes several of these facets are looked at when an organization undergoes a cultural change; but rarely are all of them seen as an integral whole, with each of them impacting and molding the others. Our consulting practice focuses on all these facets, and brings the needed expertise to bear on each unique organization and its issues, looking for the causes of the problems, not providing a canned solution. We focus on the outcome; not the output. Our business model capitalizes on partnerships with like-minded corporations and individuals to provide a holistic solution to our customer’s organizational growth and development challenges.
Our intent is to maintain our size, so we never have to lose our ethics or our integrity in order to make a sale. We pride ourselves on saying what needs to be said, as opposed to telling our Customers what they want to hear. This is oftentimes uncomfortable to listen to, and has lost us many a potential Customer, but we want to do what is correct, not what would sell. Our reputation for honesty and forthrightness; for dealing with the real issues and not sugar-coating the information; and for striving to make our Customers as self-sufficient as quickly as possible, continues to grow and expand. We found that most consulting companies operated from the “infiltrate and infest” mentality, where the goal was to sell you something, anything, and then once in the door, to stay there and expand for as long as they could. We saw that as consultants serving themselves, not their Customers. We’re committed to serving our Customers…..we’ll tell you whether we can help you…or find someone who can.
We look forward to helping you achieve success.
