When one of our Clients begins a corporate transformation project, we work with them to ensure their vision of where they want to be is clear, concise and measurable. We then help them to understand that their current organization is truly operating perfectly. We define that word differently than most, others see perfectly as ideal, or effective, or efficient, or profitably. Perfectly means that it is operating exactly how it is operating, perfectly in alignment with their Processes, Tools, Training, Organizational Structure, and Personnel Development practices. This does not necessarily mean those which have been documented, but those which are actually being practiced and condoned. Until an organization accurately determines out how all five areas are operating, it will not be able to make the changes necessary to achieve a lasting cultural change.

In order to achieve their vision, they must bring those five major components:
Processes, Tools, Training, Organizational Structure, and Personnel Development practices into alignment with their vision. Oftentimes several of these facets are looked at when an organization undergoes a cultural change; but rarely are all of them seen as an integral whole, with each of them impacting and molding the others. Our consulting practice focuses on all these facets, and brings the needed expertise to bear on each unique organization and its issues, looking for the causes of the misalignment, not providing a canned solution.
An example of the interaction of these five areas is shown below – with this organization moving towards having a more disciplined and structured Project Management practice.
